Review – Tosowoong Platinum Total Solution Miracle Skin Pore Tightening Pack

Wow! That’s a long name!

It claims to brighten skin, tighten pores, reduce sebum and even out skin tone. That’s a lot for one product to do. Apparently it is very popular on Korean TV Home Shopping. I’ve only ever seen this brand on Gmarket which is where I got mine from. I’ve also got some of their makeup which I will do a review on later.

It costs about 16,000 won and I will link to a Gmarket page here which has lots of pictures on how to use the product and what it looks like.

I don’t use it very often, it’s one of those masks that you only need to use once or twice a week and you only use a small amount so the 150g bottle will last a while.

Packaging:

The packaging is really sleek. I’ve had it for a while so I don’t have the box anymore but I’m pretty sure it was charcoal like the bottle.

I always think it looks like a men’s product. It has that sort of color and style to it. It’s probably meant to be unisex as it’s a face mask which could suit both both men and women.

I really like how it looks, I think it’s very chic and stylish. Although I like cute and pretty stuff I can still appreciate a well thought out minimalist touch, the grey and silver just look really classy. It looks like a really expensive product but it’s actually quite reasonable.

On the bottle it says ‘Provides your skin with beautiful and healthy benefits. Exclusively deep action enhances skin to help purify and care pore.’.

Look, feel and smell:

This is basically a clay mask, it’s an orangey brown (terracotta) color. It has a medium to thick consistency but its not  heavy or gluggy like other clay masks. It’s very smooth and easy to apply. You only need a thin layer so it dries very quick.

The smell is quite strong, it smells like earth and clay and it also a sharp mineral smell. It’s not necessarily unpleasant but it’s not something I want to go around sniffing all the time either. You can still smell it a bit on your skin after you wash it off but like I said it’s not unpleasant and it fades.

When you apply it to your face the product is very cooling which I really enjoy. It’s also good because it’s not messy. Sometimes I don’t like to use masks because they get everywhere and are annoying to clean up. This is super easy, it only goes where you want it to go you wash you hands after applying and you are done. You don’t have to worry about it coming off your face, it’s such a thin layer and it will have already started to dry.

Use:

This does not have any English on the back of it, which is where it tells you how to use it. It may have had some on the box as sometimes that is the case with Korean products.

It’s a clay mask so it’s pretty simple, the page on Gmarket that I bought it from had lots of pictures detailing it’s use so you can figure it out.

You apply after cleansing your face. The website uses a brush but I just use my fingers and it takes about two minutes. That’s one of the reasons I like this product so much. It’s so quick and easy to use.

You only need to leave it for 10-12 minutes and then it’s time to rinse it off.

I find it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean, my pores are usually a little smaller right after I use it but it’s not a huge difference in that regard.

It’s very mild and has tea tree (along with some other natural ingredients) in it which I really like, it’s one of those ‘cure all’ products you can’t go wrong with. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a nice clay mask. While I am not sure it does everything it claims to do it is still a nice product and leaves you skin feeling fresh and clean.
